On the weekend of July 11–12, 2026, at Pop Up Kings-Weiher Pond, the first edition of the Pescar Fugar Cup took place—an individual competition held over two rounds, which brought together 20 anglers at the starting line. For our club, this event meant more than just a competition—it was the first event organized under the name Pescar Fugar Team, and the atmosphere, organization, and spirit of fair play made this edition a memorable one.
From the very first day, the level of competition proved to be very high, with the winning sectors changing from one round to the next.
Ovidiu and Ruben swapped their winning sectors from one heat to the next, both confirming the excellent form they displayed throughout the entire competition. The overall standings were dominated by members of Pescar Fugar Team, who achieved an outstanding performance: the top four spots in the final standings, in a competition with 20 participants, were taken by anglers from our club.
